  Poems from the heart

I Wish I were not born

I wish I were not born,
For all the atrocities put upon.
I wish I were not born

Entering the world the problems arise,
Starting with my feticide.

Begins with the wrath of my creators,
Who are trying to destroy my status.

My entry into the world depends on their decision,
Even before taking first breath of oxygen.

After all these atrocities,I finally walk into this amazing world,
Not knowing how the future might unfurl.

While growing up,not being treated fairly,
Often Sidelined in a family .

my counterparts are always given more importance,
While nobody can read my silence.

Just call us as their better half,
And keep our mouths shut up.

Regarded as someone else's property,
And a weight they have to carry.

Always have to adjust with others,
And undergo a lot of troubles.

Nobody to wipe off the tears,
And have to live with fears

Seen as an object of lust,
Don't even think how much it hurts

Judging me from my purity,
When the other half walk free.

Need to think of the society before a step,
You never know what might backlash.

Though burdened with full of liabilities,
We do it with unmatched fidelity

Saying the most beautiful object seems ironical,
After hearing the crimes, these claims seems hypothetical.
So,it is my small plea,
Just treat me a bit fairly,
And let me be free,
And let me be free!!!!

Harsh Gupta,
me.

I have written this to highlight the problems faced by a woman in India. They have to go though a lot of hardships right from their birth. They are always treated inferior to men.And the most hurting thing is that they have more or less accepted to live with reality.
So,lets make a better place for the most beautiful creation of God  and help them live the life the way they want and not in the shackles of  the society.
